El viernes 28 de octubre los alumnos Josefa Herrera, Maite Maureira, Maximiliano Araya y Joaquín Saldaña, viajaron a Santiago a representar a nuestro colegio en la ESU Poetry Competition 2022, después de haber sido pre-seleccionados entre muchos participantes por la entidad organizadora.
La actividad se realizó en el Saint George’s College y los alumnos compitieron con estudiantes de otros colegios, con un alto nivel de inglés e interpretación de las poesías, frente a un selecto jurado.
En un marco de nerviosismo y emoción, Maite Maureira y Joaquín Saldaña, – 7th LG y 8th AL respectivamente -, fueron seleccionados como finalistas en su categoría y finalmente ambos se adjudicaron el primer lugar a nivel nacional.

ESU Poetry Competition 2022: TISLS stands out with its representatives
On Friday, October 28, the students Josefa Herrera, Maite Maureira, Maximiliano Araya, and Joaquín Saldaña traveled to Santiago to represent our school in the ESU Poetry Competition 2022, after being pre-selected among many participants by the organizing entity.
The competition was held at Saint George’s College and the students competed with students from similar schools, with a high level of English and poetry interpretation, and in front of a select jury.
In a framework of nervousness and excitement, Maite Maureira and Joaquín Saldaña were selected as finalists in their category, and finally, both were awarded First Place at the national level.
Congratulations to all the participants and especially to Maite and Joaquín who moved us with their achievements!
