Con una interesante exposición para diversos cursos de Elementary y Middle School, nuestros alumnos de Sexto básico demostraron todo lo que aprendieron durante el segundo y tercer trimestre en torno a Gabriela Mistral, una de las escritoras más renombradas a nivel mundial.
El proyecto fue realizado a través de la metodología del Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos (ABP), e incorporó diversas asignaturas, como Lenguaje, L.A., Música y Artes Visuales.
Su objetivo principal fue conocer todas las facetas de Gabriela Mistral, profundizando en el análisis de su figura y obra en las asignaturas nombradas anteriormente. Los estudiantes escogieron poemas, hicieron análisis lírico, biografías, líneas de tiempo, ilustraciones y musicalizaciones; todo lo cual fue expuesto a la comunidad escolar el pasado jueves 16 de noviembre. Este trabajo, concluyó esta semana, cuando finalmente los alumnos del 6th P y 6th CL iniciaron su Gira Ecológica Cultural al Valle de Elqui, donde se sumaron también las asignaturas de Science y P.E., realizando talleres de sobre Hierbas Medicinales, trekking y bicitour.

6th graders presented «Gabriela Mistral’s faces»
With an interesting exhibition, our Sixth Grade students demonstrated everything they learned during the second and third terms about Gabriela Mistral, one of the most renowned writers in the world.
The project was carried out through the Project Based Learning (PBL) methodology, and incorporated several subjects, such as Spanish, Language Arts, Music and Visual Arts. It’s main objective was to learn about all the faces of Gabriela Mistral, generating the analysis of her figure and work in the subjects mentioned above.
The students chose poems, did lyrical analysis, biographies, timelines, illustrations and musicalizations; all of which was presented to our school community last Thursday, November 16th. This work concluded this week, when finally the 6th P and 6th CL students began their Cultural Ecological Fieldtrip to the Elqui Valley, where the Science and P.E. subjects were also added, holding workshops on Medicinal Herbs, trekking and bike tour.
