A propósito de un almuerzo de camaradería que el pasado sábado 21 de mayo reunió a algunos integrantes del grupo de Amigos TISLS, como parte de las actividades que periódicamente desarrollan, surgieron diversas reflexiones en torno al camino recorrido y a este nuevo aniversario del colegio, que hoy compartimos con ustedes.
Alejandrina Cortés, quien además es una de las fundadoras de TISLS, recordó respecto de los inicios que “participamos de un sueño que se hizo realidad, que era formar una comunidad”, invitando a las nuevas generaciones a “seguir con este encantamiento para un futuro mejor, con el compromiso de padres, estudiantes, funcionarios, docentes. Debemos cuidarnos, respetarnos y ayudarnos todos”.
Por su parte, Ricardo Schmidt, uno de los precursores de esta iniciativa y principal responsable de coordinar las actividades del grupo, destacó el interés de “mantener un vínculo con el colegio, que para todos es muy importante, y mantener un vínculo humano entre nosotros. TISLS es un colegio especial y creo que todos los que estamos de alguna manera relacionados con el colegio, somos muy afortunados”.
“Me gustaría que se mantuviera el espíritu de los fundadores, que los que vienen desde más atrás mantuvieran el mismo espíritu. Que nuestros niños sepan de esto, que nuestros nietos sepan de esto”, agregó Rolando Cantarutti, también integrante de grupo de Amigos de TISLS, quien además hizo énfasis en los valores y virtudes que caracterizan a quienes son parte del colegio y que dijo, deben perdurar.
El grupo de Amigos TISLS se creó en noviembre de 2003, materializando la inquietud de un grupo de ex apoderados, que buscaban una forma de mantener el vínculo con el colegio incluso después de que sus hijos egresaran. Hoy, ya son más de 25 familias las que lo conforman, manteniendo siempre vivo el espíritu y la filosofía del colegio y apoyándonos en actividades solidarias u otras que resulten de interés y utilidad para la comunidad educativa.
La cercanía, el compromiso y el cariño con que realizan cada una de sus actividades, sin duda refleja parte de la esencia de nuestro colegio, esa misma a la cual contribuyen cada día en formar, a través de su disposición y presencia permanente.

The warm message from TISLS’ Friends on our 46th anniversary
A camaraderie lunch that took place last Saturday, May 21st, brought together some members of TISLS’ Friends, a group of former student’s parents, that remain in touch with our school and commited and represented by the way we live education. This activity -one of several they organize during the year- was the perfect scene for various reflections about TISLS, the path we’ve traveled and this new anniversary, which we share with you today.
Alejandrina Cortés, who is also one of TISLS’ founders, recalled the first steps of this educational proyect. «We where part of a dream that came true, we wanted to raise a community», she said, at the same time she invited new generations to «continue with this enchantment for a better future, with the commitment of parents, students, faculties and teachers. We must take care of ourselves, respect and help each other», she pointed.
For his part, Ricardo Schmidt, one of the precursors of this initiative and main responsible for coordinating the activities of the group, highlighted the interest of «keeping a bond with the school, which for everyone is very important, and maintaining a strong relation between us. TISLS is a special school and I think all of us who are in some way related to it, are very fortunate».
«I would like to see that the spirit that moved the founders at the beginning of this journey, remains through the new generations. That our children know about this, that our grandchildren know about this,» added Rolando Cantarutti, also a member of TISLS’ Friends, and who emphasized in the values and virtues that characterize those who are part of the school and that, he said, must endure.
TISLS’ Friends was created in November 2003, as an initiative from a group of parents that aimed to continue bonded to TISLS, even after their children graduated. Today, it includes more than 25 families that still bring to life and represent our school’s spirit and philosophy, supporting our community in different activities and requirements.
The closeness, commitment and affection with which they carry out each of their activities, undoubtedly reflects part of the spirit of our school, the same to which they contribute every day in forming, through their disposition and permanent presence.
