Como parte de las diversas actividades de fin de año realizadas por nuestros alumnos, el 9thPC desarrolló una serie de talleres liderados por integrantes de dicho curso y dirigidos a compañeros de cursos de Middle y Elementary.
El objetivo de esta actividad organizada por Miss Polett Castillo, profesora jefe, y con la asesoría de Mr. Jaime León, fue fortalecer la autopercepción de los alumnos, desarrollar el liderazgo, establecer nexos afectivos con los alumnos más pequeños y mostrar y destacar habilidades artísticas y deportivas de los monitores.
Los talleres impartidos fueron:
Voleibol: a cargo de las alumnas María Ignacia Flores, Amanda y Paz González, Antonia González, María José Mansur (9thPJ) Florencia Velásquez (9thPJ).
Cómic: a cargo de Gael Castex.
Cubo Rubik: a cargo de Florencia Peña y Julio Morales.
Crochet: a cargo de Ignacia Venegas, Loreto Lepeley, Bárbara Medalla, Emilia Hernández, Gabriela Palacios y Lourdes González.
Esta instancia de encuentro fue muy provechosa para los alumnos más pequeños, extendiendo algunos talleres a más días de los que correspondían, además de manifestar a sus monitores la necesidad de que el próximo año los volvieran a impartir.
Sin duda instancias de encuentro como estas además de fortalecer a los estudiantes, refuerzan los pilares de TISLS: sentido de pertenencia y hacer comunidad.

9th PC commits to inclusion through an innovative cycle of workshops
As part of the several end-of-year activities carried out by our students, 9thPC developed a series of workshops for their pairs at Middle and Elementary School.
The objective of this activity, organized by their Homeroom teacher Miss Polett Castillo, together with Mr. Jaime León, was to strengthen the students’ self-perception, develop leadership, establish emotional bonds with the youngest students and show and highlight the artistic and sports skills of the monitors.
The workshops given were:

Rubik’s Cube, by Florencia Peña and Julio Morales.

This activity was very usefull and well valorated by our youngest students, extending some workshops to more days than they corresponded to, in addition to expressing to their monitors the need for them to be taught again next year.
Without a doubt, meeting instances like these, reinforce the sense of belonging and the value of the community, as part of TISLS fundamentals.
